  11. Hello people I hope you can solve this problem for me...

  13. I have a USR 28.8k V34 VFC modem.  It works okay, but sometimes it 
  14. refuses to connect with other modem.
  15.  
  16. In daily life I call only three places: My ISP who has 28.8k lines, my 
  17. university dial up which supports up to 14.4k, and another BBS system 
  18. with max speed of 19.2k.

  20. My problem:  Sometimes I can connect, sometimes I can't. The modem is 
  21. trying to establish link (those noise and beeps) but it doesn't connect 
  22. with the other problem. My old USR 14.4k wasn't like that.

  24. I have set my modem program (Terminate) to 57600 but sometimes changing 
  25. it to 38400 works. also sometimes I send out command ATX2 and it works. 
  26. Sometimes I send out ATh0 then ATH1 then ATH0 works. Sometimes I AT&F the 
  27. modem and it works. BUT SOMETIMES DOING THOSE DOESN'T WORK!!!

  29. This modem is driving me NUTS!!! What can I do?!?!?!?!?
